Bible-StudyGuide
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy covers Bible-StudyGuide 2.0, the app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, made by CRIBINC, LLC. Questions go to [email protected].
The short version: we don’t collect anything. Bible-StudyGuide has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your studies, notes and the documents you bring in stay on your device. We never see them.
How studies are written
Studies and answers are written by Apple Intelligence on your device, using Apple’s Foundation Models framework. The passage, your question, and any of your own notes or documents the app looks at to answer you are processed on the device. They are not sent to CRIBINC, and the app sends them to no AI company. Apple’s handling of Apple Intelligence is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Scripture is the King James Version, stored inside the app. Looking up or searching the Bible happens on your device.
What stays on your device
- Saved studies and notes: kept in the app’s own storage on your device.
- Your sources: when you import a PDF or text file, paste text, or scan pages, only the text is kept, on your device. The original file is not copied, and scanned photos are not kept. Text in scanned pages and image-only PDF pages is read on your device.
- Settings: your reading position, text size, appearance, study lens, and the count of free studies used this week.
If your device backs up to iCloud, this data is included in that backup like any other app’s, under your Apple Account and Apple’s terms. CRIBINC has no access to it.
The camera
If you choose Scan pages, the app asks to use the camera so the system document scanner can photograph printed pages. The words are read on your device and only the text is kept. The camera is used for nothing else.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; CRIBINC never receives your card details. The app asks Apple whether you own the unlock (or once held a Bible-StudyGuide subscription) so it can open the paid features. That check is between the app and Apple.
What we do not do
- We do not collect, store or receive your studies, notes, questions or documents.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or any third-party tracking or data-collection SDK.
- We do not sell or share information about you. We have none to sell.
- We do not use your content to train any model.
Deleting things
Delete a study, note or source in the app by swiping it away in My Studies. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on that device.
Children’s privacy
Bible-StudyGuide collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
If you used Bible-StudyGuide 1.0 or the web app
Earlier versions stored your library on CRIBINC’s servers and used your own AI provider key. That service is being retired. To ask about, or delete, anything held from an earlier version, write to [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If a change affects how your information is handled, we will say so plainly.
