Lectern does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. Your study stays on your iPad. Purchases are billed by Apple, not by us.
Information we collect
None. The app has:
- No user accounts and no sign-in.
- No analytics or usage tracking.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No third-party tracking SDKs.
- No CRIBINC servers that receive your notes, journal, prayers, or reading progress.
Your content
Your verse notes, sermon notes, journal, prayer list, reading-plan checkoff, and settings are stored locally on your device. We never receive them. If you use Apple’s device backup or iCloud Backup, that copy is yours and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Lectern Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through the App Store: a one-time unlock, or a yearly subscription with a seven-day free trial. Apple processes the payment. CRIBINC never sees your card number, Apple ID password, or billing address. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. We only learn, through StoreKit on your device, whether this Apple ID is entitled to Lectern Pro.
Scripture text
The King James Version and the World English Bible are public-domain texts bundled in the app and read entirely offline. Bundled study notes (including a concise Matthew Henry–style guide and related public-domain study modules) are likewise read on the device.
Children’s privacy
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
